Web Ascender Becomes Microsoft Certified Gold Partner

Okemos, MI (PRWEB) February 16, 2009

Web Ascender becomes Microsoft Certified Gold Partner. With only 6 employees, Web Ascender has become one of the smallest Microsoft Certified Gold Partners in the country. The Microsoft Gold Certification is the highest level of corporate certification offered by Microsoft. The Microsoft certification process is a point-based system based on individual employee skills as well as customer references for real-world projects. Individually, the Web Ascender team has worked hard to obtain personal Microsoft certifications, which are critical to becoming eligible for competencies and obtaining the corporate Microsoft Gold Partnership. As a team, the Web Ascender staff has completed over 23 exams and received 6 premier Microsoft certifications. The Web Ascender team has achieved the following certifications:

    3 Microsoft Certified Professionals (MCP)
3 Microsoft Certified Application Developers (MCAD)
1 Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD)
1 Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)
1 Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA)
After meeting the individual requirements, Web Ascender proved their real world experience in delivering solutions using these technologies. Over the course of the last six months, nine project case studies were created with over 20 customer references. These case studies were then reviewed and approved by Microsoft. Web Ascender focused on three Microsoft Gold Certified Partner competencies:

Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Business Process
    Data Management Solutions
    Web Development Specialization
When asked what this means to his clients, Ryan Doom, President of Web Ascender said: “It shows that we have both formal education to create websites and web applications as well as an excellent track record of delivering them. Our projects were reviewed by Microsoft, who assessed the technologies used, the business problems they solved, and how we approach them. The individual achievements of our team and the positive feedback Microsoft received from our customers is what allowed us to achieve this level of certification”

Kevin Sourthwouth, Vice-President, also commented on his company’s recent achievement: “I’m proud that our team was able to accomplish this goal in such a short time, it’s a fantastic milestone for us. It’s exciting to get such a positive response from our customers as well as Microsoft on our projects. This really fuels my enthusiasm for the future of Web Ascender.”

Clear Graphix sends our to thanks to our good friend Daniel Larson for the autographed copy of his latest book release Developing Service-Oriented AJAX Applications on the Microsoft Platform. You can pick up a copy here or at your local book store.

The book is aimed towards intermediate to advanced Web Developers using Microsoft technologies. It’s written to guide your transition from ASP.NET to ASP.NET AJAX using WCF Web Services. This book is written with some C#, but primarily Javascript. Visual Basic.NET developers should be able to translate the C# code with ease, as the focus of this book is architectural. Compiled code samples in this book are written with C# and compiled against the 3.5 SP1 framework using Visual Studio 2008 but, you’ll also find a lot of Javascript. Some basic knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, Web Development, and the .NET Framework is not required but, will be helpful. He covers the basics of WCF for AJAX developers and points out some great references along the way.

Congratulations on the new book Daniel. Thanks again! Job well done. =8o)
